We support the Combat Systems Engineering Development Site (CSEDS) in ensuring the operational readiness and performance excellence of critical naval defense systems.
The Work
• System Support: Work in collaboration with Engineering Technicians to install, operate, maintain, repair, and upgrade Aegis Weapon Systems (AWS) equipment at CSEDS, including SPY-1A/B/D/D(V), Aegis BMD, and Multi-mission Signal Processor (ABSP, MMSP) systems.
• Technical Expertise: Utilize knowledge of U.S. Navy AWS performance specifications and characteristics to support critical baseline development testing using SPY ASSETS Test Systems (ATS, BTS, MMTS) and Aegis Operational Readiness Test System (ORTS).
• Problem Solving: Provide solutions to technical problems of significant scope and complexity, ensuring effective system performance and reliability.
• Project Contribution: Contribute to the completion of specific Aegis baseline programs and projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve program objectives.

Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of professional experience
- Experience with radar systems, subsystems and components.
- Experience with computer networking infrastructure.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux based operating systems and networks.
- In-depth Aegis system knowledge/experience including all Combat System (ACS) elements.
- Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship required.
Desired Skills:
- Analytical thinker with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems requiring ingenuity and innovation.
- Flexibility to work non-standard work shifts, if needed, as required by the supported program.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships are a must.
- Experience working directly with US Navy customers including AEGIS TECHREP and DCMA.
- Excellent oral and written communication, technical writing, and planning/organizational skills.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or related engineering discipline
(OR) equivalent job experience.
