Key responsibilities include driving technology improvements, solving complex operational challenges, and fostering collaboration between manufacturing, quality assurance, engineering, and program management teams. You will also translate customer requirements into advanced manufacturing strategies and processes, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of high-quality products while maintaining a safe, compliant production environment.
Primary objectives for this role include developing and overseeing:
People: Building and leading a high-performing team of operations managers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Process: Establishing robust workflows for budgetary and formal proposal estimates, detailed aircraft modification planning, and tracking via Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
Tools: Driving digital integration with ERP and MES enterprise systems, ensuring alignment with program schedules, IMS updates, and Earned Value (EV) Cost Account Management (CAM) reporting.
Additionally, you will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to optimize operations and enhance efficiency.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $130,442.85 - $179,358.93. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial engineering, Logistics, or related field of study
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Typically, 10+ years of progressive operations management experience, which includes 6+ years of management experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of and experience with the practical application of production/manufacturing principles, techniques, and warehousing best practices
- Ability to understand and interpret complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
- Advanced experience with materials management systems
- Previous supervisory experience; the ability to recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
Qualifications We Prefer:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
- Familiarity with Lean, Six-sigma, and/or Theory of Constraints Manufacturing Principles
- Understanding of Assembly, Integration and Test practices
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
