Volt is immediately hiring for Systems Engineer - ENG04–in Tucson, AZ.

What are the main functions of this role?
• Coordinate and document test environment capabilities and requirements across engineering teams.
• Develop and manage test requirements, system design, and lifecycle testing from components to full systems.
• Integrate advanced test solutions using models, simulations, prototypes, and embedded test protocols.
• Identify technology risks, ensure affordability, and interact with DoD customers for compliance and cost control.
• Lead and mentor teams during new project implementation for major development programs.

As a System Engineer you will:
• Utilize your knowledge of models, simulations, test beds, prototypes, hardware integration, hardware manufacturing, warfighter (User) methodologies, embedded test protocols, and full-scale Engineering Development Models (EDM’s) to ensure comprehensive lifecycle testing that is both robust and affordable.
• Broad customer interaction including Department of Defense (DoD) contract work
• Understand and define specialized capital investment needs.
• Intense focus on ‘customer affordability’, by using effective cost measurement techniques
• Drive improvements in product affordability through increased built-in-test capabilities and decreased lifecycle
• Mentor and guide team through new project implementation at the Integrated Product Team Lead level for a Major Development Acquisition Program (MDAP).

This is 12 months Full- time- contract with possible hire opportunity.
Clearance Required: Active Secret clearance

Qualifications You Must Have:
• Systems Engineering experience in test requirements development, test planning, test techniques, test methodologies test requirements documents, embedded functional test, and integration, verification, and validation for test
• Experience demonstrating a systems engineering approach for all test-related activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Working knowledge of Systems Engineer standard views such as Block Diagram Definitions, Context Diagrams, Use Cases, Sequence Diagrams, Flow Diagrams
• Knowledge of Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
• Experience with development, environmental, qualification, production, manufacturing operations testing
• Experience in developing, decomposing, and managing systems requirements across a product lifecycle such as design and transition to production.

Qualifications:
• Requires bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of four (4) years of experience directly related engineering experience (or a STEM Masters with 2 years’ experience)

Pay Range: $70.00 - $ 80.00 per hour.
