Job Description
This position will report directly to one of the Facilities Plant Engineering Supervisor and will have direct responsibility to service and maintain a wide variety of plumbing systems throughout the facility. This position may also require local coordination and oversight of plumbing contractors during construction and maintenance projects. The facility sits on 22 acres in downtown Nashua NH, and has approximately 680,000 square feet of office, lab and manufacturing space.

The successful candidate must have strong communication skills, be self-motivated and capable of working in a collaborative team environment. The successful candidate shall have experience and strong technical knowledge in industrial processes and building operations.
Installs and maintains various piping systems including but not limited to fire protection, process heating systems, steam heating systems, potable water, compressed air, process gases and domestic water systems. Determines defects in, repairs, and maintains heating, water, and drainage systems in industrial or commercial establishments. Inspects high-pressure, air, steam, water, and gas systems to ascertain malfunctions. Repairs or replaces plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, water heaters and hot water tanks: mends or replaces burst or leaky pipes: tests joints and pipe systems for leaks: opens clogged drains: measures, cuts, threads, bends, reams, and installs pipe and pipe fittings. Uses plumber's tools such as snakes, wrenches, plungers, pipe threaders, etc. Must be capable and skilled in troubling shooting components associated with the steam and condensate system. These system should include but are not limited to the fuel, feed-water, condensate, valves, pumps and pressure reducing stations. Performs annual maintenance on steam boilers in order to ensure that they are ready for State Inspection. Responsible for ensuring that all work is performed and completed as specified by contract, engineering drawings/specifications and applicable codes. Must be able to operate within a computerized maintenance work order system. Qualitied candidate must be able to log work performed, provide a brief explanation of the problem and summarize what was replaced and or repaired. May be required to clean and service equipment that may contain hazardous substances and to participate in the sorting and accumulation of hazardous waste materials in accordance with the Federal, State and Local regulators. May be required to participate on special teams including but not limited to emergency and medical response teams, and willing to participate in the on-call coverage for the facility. Maintains knowledge of local codes. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested. 9/80 work schedule. Every other weekend is a 3-day weekend with the off-Friday. Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

- Requires State of NH Journeyman's Plumbing License
