FWI is building a team to provide comprehensive administrative, executive, programmatic, and analytical support to the National Science Foundation's Office of Legislative and Public Affairs (OLPA). As an Audio Production Specialist, you will conceive, produce, write, and host audio content-including NSF's Discovery Files Podcast-that communicates scientific discoveries and NSF initiatives to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities
- Conceive, produce, write, and create audio content including podcasts and radio features
- Produce "NSF's Discovery Files Podcast," a weekly video and audio podcast
- Identify, research, and submit potential topics and guests for approval
- Coordinate, conduct, and record interviews with researchers and subject matter experts
- Write, narrate, and host audio segments and podcasts in a variety of styles
- Edit audio content (spoken word, natural sound, music, and sound effects) into finished products
- Produce podcast promos/radio features (15-second and 90-second versions)
- Handle review and clearance through PIs and directorates
- Distribute content to radio stations and digital platforms; maintain liaison with stations
- Respond to queries from the public, media, and research community regarding content produced
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an audio producer
- Experience conceiving, developing, and creating audio segments, programs, and series on a variety of scales
- Experience scriptwriting in a variety of styles for audio projects
- Experience translating complex topics into compelling audio for a variety of audiences
- Experience narrating audio and video productions in a variety of styles
- On-air experience
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
