Description
- Define and communicate the enterprise architecture strategy, target-state vision, and multi-year roadmap that directly supports business growth, operational resilience, and strategic priorities.
- Lead the design and governance of complex, distributed systems - incorporating cloud-native architectures, microservices, event-driven patterns, containerization, and scalable data/integration strategies.
- Establish and enforce enterprise-wide architectural standards, principles, reference models, and governance processes (including architecture review boards) to ensure consistency, interoperability, and reduction of technical debt across all domains (business, data, application, and technology).
- Provide architectural oversight and guidance for major initiatives, including system modernizations, platform migrations, and emerging technology adoption (e.g., AI/ML integration, hybrid/multi-cloud environments).
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, product teams, engineering leaders, and solution architects to translate business needs into actionable technical blueprints.
- Drive continuous improvement of the architecture practice - including maturity assessments, rationalization of legacy systems, and promotion of DevSecOps, automation, and agile delivery models.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of architects, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Monitor industry trends, evaluate emerging technologies, and recommend strategic investments to maintain competitive advantage.
- Measure and report on architectural health, outcomes, and value delivered through key metrics (e.g., time-to-market, system reliability, cost optimization, risk reduction).
