Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

About The Role
Peraton is seeking a Tajikistan Linguist and Cultural Advisor (CULAD) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting a large program.
Location: On-site, Camp Xiphos, Jordan (Secure US Military Compound)
Role and Responsibilities:
- The Tajiki Linguist/CULAD will provide continuous monitoring, expert analysis, and assessment of global, regional, and tailored area geopolitical media and news sources.
- The position is an unaccompanied one-year assignment that can be extended by the customer and if elected by the individual chosen to provide support.
- Shift work may be required.
- Gather information on trends, behaviors, events and directed global developments to generate media synopsis reports and assessments of local geopolitics and foreign media discourse.
- Provide expert advice to DoD/MIL leadership of social media influence operations, draft policy, doctrine, decisions, trends concepts, and studies.
- Produce predictive recommendations and identify anticipated strategic communications opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop marketing and support communications plans.
- Monitor industry and technology trends in traditional, digital, social, mobile media.
- Use directed, or design research methods appropriate to pre-defined client criteria.
- Interpret and analyze oral and written source material such as classified reports, data, briefings and conversations.
- Provide cultural expertise in written or oral form in both native Tajik and U.S. English.
- Analyze data for coded patterns of information.
- Interpret data for information for a range of deductions encompassing breadth of subjects.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree and 6 years of experience. An additional 4 years will be accepted in lieu of the bachelors degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a researcher monitoring media and providing analysis of trends, political events, and geopolitical impacts.
- Must be of Tajikistan heritage who speaks/reads/writes Tajiki.
- Must have experience with Tajikistan target audience (males 18-36 years old) pop culture and associated social media technology.
- Previous experience with US Military forces in a direct supporting role to MISO/IO/IW/IRCs.
- Minimum of 5 years working or living within the CCMD AOR.
- A minimum of passing 4/4/4 testing scores both in English and Tajiki.
- Superior Tajiki reading, writing, and speaking skills.
- Ability to provide high quality presentations and work with small and large groups.
- Have an in depth understanding of the cultural differences, nuances, customs, symbolism, mannerisms, and traditions of the various ethnic groups residing throughout Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and Turkmenistan).
- Excellent oral, written and electronic communication in English.
- Demonstrated capability to work with Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active DoW Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Must possess a valid U.S. Passport, not expiring within 1 Year.
- Must be fully eligible for Jordanian Visa.
- Recent Native Cultural Experience - Tajikistan native.
- Language ability in another required language; Russian, Farsi, Uzbek, Arabic at the same levels.
- Experience with DOD/MIL Information Operations.
- Broad Experience as a media monitor/researcher for the DoW.
