The Director builds enduring partnerships and trust, maintains continuous awareness of customer priorities and operational drivers, and translates insights into actionable guidance aligned to customer mission outcomes and Leidos business objectives. This role synchronizes engagement and messaging between Service Senior Account Executives and Joint/CCMD stakeholders where Service component equities apply, and facilitates coordination during joint planning, exercises, and real-world operations to prevent misunderstandings and ensure alignment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as the senior corporate liaison to Joint Staff and Combatant Command (CCMD) Liaison Offices at the Pentagon; establish and sustain trusted stakeholder relationships.
  • Gather and synthesize mission needs, priorities, gaps, challenges, and emerging requirements across CCMDs; identify cross-command themes and implications.
  • Act as the communication bridge between Leidos Service Senior Account Executives and Joint/CCMD stakeholders on matters involving Service component equities; synchronize messaging and deconflict engagements.
  • Track and monitor Joint and CCMD exercises; provide timely, relevant updates and implications to Leidos corporate and business leaders.
  • Facilitate coordination and information flow supporting joint planning, exercises, and real-world operations; proactively clarify roles, timelines, decision authorities, and expectations to prevent misunderstandings.
  • Monitor and communicate budget planning signals and funding emphasis areas relevant to Joint Staff/CCMD priorities (at appropriate classification levels).
  • Monitor and synthesize legislative priority themes communicated by Joint Staff/CCMD stakeholders; share implications with appropriate internal Leidos leaders.
  • Produce executive-ready outputs (e.g., leadership briefs, engagement summaries, stakeholder maps, exercise calendars, priority/gap assessments) that inform Leidos business strategy and decision-making.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional internal teams (corporate operations, growth/capture, delivery, engineering, and account teams) to translate customer insights into coordinated enterprise actions.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 15+ years of U.S. Government service experience, including significant time supporting DoD missions in joint, combatant command, or Pentagon-based environments. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • Prior experience working on Joint Staff or CCMND staff in the National Capital Region (e.g., Joint Staff directorates, CCMD headquarters elements, or CCMD liaison organizations at the Pentagon).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including leading teams, workstreams, or enterprise-level initiatives; ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive results through others.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to cross-functional teams to achieve outcomes across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated senior-level stakeholder engagement experience with Joint Staff, CCMDs, Service components, or equivalent headquarters organizations.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex operational priorities and communicate clear, actionable guidance to executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple organizations and drive alignment in high-tempo, high-visibility environments.
  • US citizenship is required for this position with the ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Formal liaison experience (e.g., liaison officer, action officer, directorate staff roles with external coordination responsibilities).
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense resource/budget planning concepts and interpreting priority/funding signals (as appropriate).
  • Established professional network across Joint Staff directorates and CCMD staffs and CCMD Liaison Offices.
  • Experience supporting enterprise strategy, customer engagement, or growth in a defense contractor environment.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance

Working Conditions
