Responsibilities:
• Identifying performance problems and malfunctions, addressing systems and equipment problems, performing hardware checks using the necessary testing tools and maintaining hardware.
• Responsible for ensuring that the support and management of large-scale messaging and collaboration environments and tools are maintained to the highest standard with maximum levels of productivity and efficiency.
• Proper installation and rack mounting of equipment, including adds and moves
• Upgrading and configuring BIOS, firmware, drivers, and other software
• Imaging and initial configuration of various types of equipment
• Installation and configuration of server components and modules
• Troubleshoot hardware, infrastructure issues and repairing/replacing failed parts
• Processing returns for products under warranty
• Escorting vendors when required
• Manage and complete trouble tickets
• Tracking infrastructure usage and availability, including space and power
• Work closely with Facilities team on HVAC and power issues
• Maintaining diagrams and inventory of equipment and assets
• Lifecycle management of support center hardware, including recycling and sparing
• Creating and revising SOPs for infrastructure maintenance and tasks
