IT Security Specialist

Summit Human Capital is seeking a fully remote IT Security Specialist to support a government program with a Secret clearance desired. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Responsibilities
Manage and administer security tools including Azure Security Center/Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Intune, MFA, and Security & Compliance Center
Monitor, detect, respond to, and remediate security incidents
Conduct vulnerability and threat analysis and implement remediation
Support FISMA/NIST compliance and security reporting
Administer patching, upgrades, integrations, and reporting for security systems
Support security architecture, risk mitigation, and system security reviews
Manage security awareness training and password management solutions
Respond to and resolve IT security tickets while maintaining SLAs

Required Qualifications
Experience administering Microsoft and Azure security platforms
Hands-on security incident response and vulnerability management experience
Knowledge of FISMA, NIST, and security best practices
Experience securing cloud-hosted environments (Azure)

Desired Qualifications
Security certifications (Security+, CISSP, CISM, AZ-500, SC-200/300)
Experience in federal or regulated environments
Security engineering or architecture experience
