GS-09 The primary purpose of this position is: This is a developmental position with known promotion potential to the target position of 9SAR70342 (Exercise Program Specialist, GS-0301-11). Incumbent works closely with supervisor in performing duties identified in full performance personnel document.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS - 9 Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-7, or equivalent in other pay systems (may have been obtained in the federal service, military, or public sector). FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-9 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. GS-09/11 Duties
- Programs for a range of complex constraints involved in the development of viable MAJCOM and Joint Exercise Programs.
- Manages the integration of multi-disciplinary resources necessary to support exercise tasks and projects.
- Provides subject matter expertise for the Division on all mandated administrative support programs.
- Assists the Division in planning, administering, and monitoring manpower resource requirements
- Serves as the Division point of contact and liaison with the personnel flight on military and civilian personnel issues.

- Knowledge of a range of analytical, qualitative, and/or quantitative methods to evaluate and measure the effectiveness and productivity of programs, and to participate in the planning and assessment of command programs and joint exercise tasks.
- Knowledge of DoD and Air Force software programs, tools, and techniques to support Division and Exercise operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
- Ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy and possess the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly and concisely and with technical and operational accuracy; negotiate complex issues; maintain good working relationships.
