Senior Business Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support an Agile delivery team in Tysons Corner, VA. In this role, you will partner closely with stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to translate mission and business needs into clear, actionable requirements. You will play a critical role in ensuring solutions are well-defined, delivered effectively, and accepted with confidence, supporting either an Integration-focused or UI-focused Agile workstream.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and decompose mission and business requirements into clear, well-defined functional and technical specifications aligned with program objectives
• Gather, analyze, and document requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and direct process observation
• Develop and maintain comprehensive Agile artifacts including epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, process flows, and system requirements documentation
• Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment from concept through delivery and acceptance
• Conduct current-state and future-state analysis, identifying gaps and recommending process, system, and workflow improvements
• Create process maps, workflows, and standard operating procedures to support consistent execution and delivery
• Collaborate closely with business users, product owners, project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align priorities and resolve ambiguities
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release activities by ensuring requirements are clear, prioritized, and ready for development
• Analyze system functionality and performance to validate alignment with documented requirements and mission needs
• Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation activities to ensure delivered capabilities meet expectations
• Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support operational insight and decision-making

Requirements:

• US citizenship with active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required
• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting Agile software development programs, preferably within DoD or Intelligence Community environments
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Experience translating mission and business needs into epics, features, and well-defined user stories with acceptance criteria in an Agile environment
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional Scrum teams, including engineers and product owners, in fast-paced delivery environments
• Hands-on experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and/or GitHub to manage backlogs, document requirements, and maintain traceability
• Ability to conduct gap analysis and workflow analysis to define current versus future state system capabilities
• Experience supporting system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing to ensure delivered functionality aligns with documented requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions and clearly convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
