Introduction

Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to join their Institutional Investment Operations team within the DTC Settlement Operations group. This role is part of the Corporate Investment Banking Operations division.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to work directly on W2.
• 2 years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in the securities industry with emphasis on buy-in and international trade settlement.
• Knowledge of DTCC Smart/TRACK system, OW, Settlement Web, and related systems.
• BS/BA degree in Finance or related field.
• Proficiency in Excel for analytical purposes (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs).
• Basic knowledge of PowerPoint to support group presentations to senior management.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Working knowledge of buy-in rules for both domestic and international markets.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assist with daily DTC settlement and fail control processing across domestic markets.
• Monitor internal and external systems related to trade settlements, focusing on trade clearance and operational risk.
• Act as a liaison between settlements and internal/external stakeholders.
• Lead projects and industry-related initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of responsibilities.
• Monitor and act on regulatory buy-in processes.
• Manage buy-in notices and liaise with counterparties to resolve open obligations.
