In this role you will b ecome a member of the support staff with a primary work assignment supporting the Missile Defense Agency's Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC). This position requires a seasoned professional with a detailed understanding of DoD acquisition processes to include cost, schedule, and performance of contracts. This position is in Colorado Springs, CO .

Duties of a Principal Acquisition Analyst :

• Working knowledge of applicable DoD acquisition directives to support the development of Missile Defense System (MDS) acquisition policy, plans, processes, procedures, and guidance for MDS development and fielding
• Develop Acquisition Plans, Justification and Approvals, Request for Proposal packages, Statements of Work, and Contract Data Requirement Lists
• Interpret MDA acquisition guidance to support acquisition planning and MDS program integration;
• Expertise in strategic planning, acquisition strategy development, and development of key acquisition documentation to support acquisition strategy approval and execution
• Prepare planning documents to coordinate integrated acquisition strategies within the MDS and OGA partners
• Support and interact with high level DoD Officials (O-6 and above, GS-15/NH-4 equivalent), sitting on-site with the DoD Program Office and delivering products successfully in a fast-paced environment (on demand).
• Develop reports, decision papers, and briefings for senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Technical understanding and experience with missile defense or radar systems.
• Develop and present reports and presentations to senior management-level personnel; exceptional written and verbal skills required.
• Works independently and/or leads teams to analyze and resolve problems.
• Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or THAAD Program Office work efforts.
• Proficiency in system engineering and execution processes.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
• Possess knowledge of acquisition processes/activities required to support the evaluation of contract performance against the program baselines
• Experience translating technical requirements into contract requirements
• Capable of working independently or leading cross-functional teams to research, track, and complete ad hoc tasks associated with the PWS
• Experience in cost, schedule and performance management for a space-based program and/or a DoD

Education

• Bachelor's Degree and 20+ years of relevant experience or Master's Degree and 12+ years of experience

• Secret clearance

Colorado Pay Range

$140,000 - $155,000 USD
