USD $125,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.

Description
Markon is seeking a Resource Analyst to support strategic planning, program analysis, and budget formulation and execution in a mission-focused government environment. The analyst will provide data-driven insights to inform resource decisions, support program advocacy, and develop decision-support products for senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Support resource planning and strategic planning by collecting, analyzing, and validating program and budget data against historical trends.
- Perform programmatic and financial analysis to inform budget submissions, execution assessments, and resource realignments.
- Contribute to budget formulation artifacts, including the Program Budget Submission (PBS) and Congressional Budget Justification Book (CBJB).
- Develop briefings, reports, charts, talking points, and memoranda to support program advocacy and leadership decision-making.
- Respond to ad hoc taskings, including Congressionally Directed Actions (CDAs) and Questions for the Record (QFRs).
- Assist in developing decision-support models, databases, and analytical tools.
- Collaborate across organizational components to ensure data integrity, resolve discrepancies, and maintain corporate resource repositories.
- Provide periodic status updates and background documentation to leadership.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in project/program management, financial or quantitative analysis, cost estimation, or resource analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, quantitative analysis, social sciences, or a related field (preferred). Master's degree or MBA may substitute for 2 years of experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate programmatic and financial data and propose actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience briefing non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of budgeting, resource management, and program analysis principles.
- Experience working with financial, acquisition, or program management systems.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Familiarity with project management and COTR concepts is a plus.
