Description

Markon is seeking a Finance Resources Generalist to perform routine to moderately complex financial and accounting activities in support of Sponsor operations. This role supports financial processing, reconciliation, customer service, and financial systems while ensuring compliance with federal and Sponsor financial policies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for financial administrative issues within the assigned office.
  • Perform complex financial processing, analysis, and reconciliation, including general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and Sponsor financial systems.
  • Prepare and certify accountings supporting vendor payments, debt collection, Working Capital Fund activities, and pay and benefits.
  • Establish, monitor, and revalidate commitments and obligations, de-obligating funds as required.
  • Originate, post, and maintain financial data in Sponsor-unique systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Analyze complex accountings, clear accounting suspensions, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide technical and financial guidance to managers, analysts, and customers on complex financial matters, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist managers in developing and refining financial policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Support and test financial systems, including ad hoc reporting, functional testing, user support, and coordination with system developers.
  • Research financial regulations and policies to resolve issues and support policy interpretation.
  • Assist with financial systems training and respond to customer inquiries.


Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience performing financial records processing and financial records management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field,
    OR an additional 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree (6 years total experience).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, FASAB, and FASB principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply Sponsor and RESERVED regulations, policies, and financial systems to complex issues.
  • Experience ensuring data integrity, quality assurance, and compliance across multiple financial systems.
  • Strong written, verbal, and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex financial issues clearly.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team lead, collaborating effectively across stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and resolve moderately complex to complex financial issues.


Salary Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 /Yr.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
