Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to work onsite in Reston, VA. The Senior RF Engineer will lead and contribute to advanced hardware design and development efforts, supporting both new product innovation and the evolution of existing systems. This role involves applying research-driven engineering approaches, evaluating emerging technologies, and integrating modern processes into high-impact hardware solutions.
Responsibilities of the Senior RF Engineer include:
· Design and develop new hardware systems and update existing products
· Conduct research and apply new processes and methods into product development
· Interpret and apply knowledge from documentation, schematics, diagrams, and plans
· Establish and conduct testing routines, document results, and ensure quality standards
· Perform design, testing, modification, fabrication, and assembly of devices or equipment
· Lead and manage technical staff to align with project goals and business outcomes
· Develop innovative solutions to highly complex problems through research and best practices
Qualifications for the Senior RF Engineer include:
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 12-15 years of experience OR Master's degree with 10-13 years
· Strong understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts
· Proven experience in hardware design, development, testing, and documentation
· Ability to resolve highly complex problems using advanced technical knowledge
· Excellent communication skills for interaction with executive leadership and stakeholders
· Demonstrated leadership experience managing and mentoring technical teams
· Active Secret clearance or higher
Compensation for the Senior RF Engineer includes:
· Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000 depending on experience
