We are currently seeking Corrosion Control Technicians (Combat Systems, Communications, Computers, Command and Control, and Internet (C5I) (Various Locations) to support our customers in multiple locations, including OCONUS.This is a long-term TDY.
Required Education and/or Experience : High School Diploma or GED equivalent; and related military experience or trade/industrial school graduate and/or trade experience.
Required Certification : AMPP Basic Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 1).
Desired Experience : Approximately seven (7) years of experience that is related to electronics and combat systems corrosion control maintenance on U.S. Navy ships and submarines. The candidate shall have experience with Electromagnetic Environmental Effects including Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and methods to mitigate problems including but not limited to proper bonding straps, weather sealing and fastener selection. The candidate shall have experience with processes and requirements as they pertain to shipboard organizational level corrosion control of C5I systems and also must experience with corrosion control technologies and procedures. The candidate shall have thorough knowledge of surface preparation tools, corrosion control techniques, coating application tools and coating systems used on U.S. Navy and/or Coast Guard ships/boats.
Must currently hold and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
