Scrum Master

Description

• Understanding and supporting Scrum practices such as guiding meetings, managing Sprints and Sprint Backlog
• Using the Product Backlog to manage needs and requirements
• Prioritizing Backlog work
• Monitoring projects to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained
• Guiding and coaching the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers
• Facilitating and supporting all scrum events, such as Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective
• Contributing to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization
• Resolving team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization
• Ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines
• Planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams
• Providing input for application documentation
• Leveraging experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, physics or similar disciplines
• Prior experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment
• Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Certified Scrum Master or other similar certification
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Minimum of five or more years of industry experience
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
• Possess good time-management skills
• Proven effective interpersonal and communication skills
• In-depth knowledge and experience of agile scrum as well as knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
• Experience with JIRA for task management and Confluence for project documentation
• Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills
• Enjoys working with people in a fast moving, innovative environment
• Adept at refinement, story management, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques

Desired Skills

• Previous software development experience is a plus
• Possess a great work ethic

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL
