Advantech is seeking a IT Systems Analyst / Instructional Design Analyst that supports the administration, analysis, and optimization of IT systems with a strong emphasis on education and training platforms. This position is responsible for end-user support, instructional content development, system analysis, and reporting to ensure effective delivery of training and IT services in a secure, mission-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, manage, and maintain IT systems, with preference for education and training systems
Deliver end-user training and provide ongoing customer and technical support
Support and utilize distance learning technologies, including virtual and streaming platforms
Conduct fit/gap analyses and support system assessments and enhancements
Troubleshoot system and user issues and provide timely resolution
Generate and interpret reports, dashboards, and learning metrics using tools such as Excel and Power BI
Develop and maintain instructional materials and training content
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate technical requirements into user-friendly solutions
Required Skills & Abilities
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical users
Proven ability to work proactively with end users and address challenges effectively
Ability to quickly learn and follow technical documentation and user guides
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Technical Knowledge
Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with SharePoint, Lists, and Power Platform (preferred)
Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI)
Awareness of eLearning authoring tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, MELD, etc.)
Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and AICC standards
Understanding of data formats such as XML, JSON, and CSV
Awareness of cloud-based training systems hosted in AWS and/or Azure
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Clearance
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Active Secret clearance required
