In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) applying regulatory guidance associated with Security Assistance/Security Cooperation program management [i.e., Foreign Military Sales (FMS), International Military Education and Training (IMET)]; 2) direct management of Security Assistance/Security Cooperation programs resulting in the delivery of defense articles and services (i.e., major end items, equipment, and/or training); 3) participating in multi-discipline teams (i.e., interagency, military, civilian, and/or partner nation) in order to manage Security Assistance/Security Cooperation programs; and 4) creating and presenting written and oral communications that provide solutions to resolve challenges associated with Security Assistance/Security Cooperation programs.

Help
- Coordinate, plan, and program eligible foreign governments' security cooperation education and training requirements.
- Assist countries in the development of their security cooperation education and training plans.
- Direct the planning, programming, scheduling, and administration of assigned security assistance programs for foreign countries and international organizations.
- Approve recommendations for substitute training or refining requirements, and elimination of requirements which do not meet established criteria or those which cannot be supported.
- Ensure proper disposition of International Military Student (IMS) disciplinary problems and other administrative issues in accordance with existing regulatory guidance as well as US law.
- Serve as a first line supervisor assigning work, setting and adjusting priorities, preparing performance standards, evaluating performance, etc.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a valid T3 (Secret) security clearance.
- This position may require temporary duty (TDY) for business for up to 25% of the time.
- This position is designated as a Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) position and must comply with the Implementation Guidelines for the DoD Security Cooperation Workforce Certification Program 2.0, effective 1 October 2024.
- Must obtain SCW certification at the Expert/Advanced Level (SC4B3) within 2 years IAW NDAA2017, Title 10 USC, Section 34, and comply with all DoD, Defense Security Cooperation Agency, and DA requirements of the SCW certification program.
- Incumbent may be required to complete a one-year probationary period for new supervisors/managers.
