Role Description
BIT is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to support our Client’s enterprise data and analytics initiatives. The Senior Scrum Master will be responsible for coaching Agile teams, facilitating Scrum events, and removing impediments to ensure successful delivery. This role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and hands-on Agile experience in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.
Responsibilities
• Serve as Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams delivering enterprise data and analytics solutions.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives).
• Guide teams in applying Agile principles, practices, and frameworks.
• Partner with Product Owners to refine backlogs, set priorities, and define acceptance criteria.
• Track and communicate team progress, velocity, and impediments to stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team accountability.
• Collaborate with Program Management to align team outputs with broader program goals.
• Support cross-team coordination, risk management, and dependency resolution.
• Use Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence for tracking and reporting.
Qualifications
• Active Secret clearance (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile coach in IT programs.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and MS Teams.
• Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and servant-leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple teams and stakeholders in a complex program environment.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or PMI-ACP certification required.
