Duties

As a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST-TITLE 5, GS-2001-9, you will perform analysis on technical squadron functions by analyzing data and identifying deficiencies/problems. Perform analysis problems identified by flight management. Compare supply performance and maintenance interface data with standards to identify the effectiveness of supply support. Perform in-depth research/analyses and make appropriate recommendations for improvement. Serve as the point of contact for all customer problems unresolved at flight level. Monitor inventory losses. Develop, coordinate, and publish supplements/operating instructions. Manage the General Support Division (GSD) and monitor the Material Support Division (MSD) of the Air Force Supply Management Activity Group (SMAG) at base level. Develop and maintain trend analysis for stock fund operations and formulate projections. Brief supervisors and managers in the interpretation of supply/financial management data reports. Analyze financial transactions to detect errors and initiates corrective action. Serve as the Resource Advisor for the LRS. Prepare and manage the operating budget for squadron cost centers. Plan, develop, and conduct on-the-job training (OJT) as required. Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the knowledge and experience of supply procedures/actions such as inventory of equipment, property accountability, maintaining records, item identification, authorizations, on-hand balances, property condition and location, ordering, reviewing and shipment of equipment, and/or ordering, receiving and shipping of equipment.

Master's Degree or Equivalent Graduate Degree

Two Full Years of Progressively Higher Level Graduate Education Leading to such degree

LL.B or J.D, if related

Combining Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. Only education in excess of 1 full year of graduate level education may be used to qualify applicants for positions at this grade. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
