Summary: On behalf of our customer, ClearanceJobs is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer / ERP Administrator for a 6+ month 100% REMOTE contract position.
The selected candidate will take ownership of developing and implementing our client’s ERP through Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The ideal candidate is a proactive and hands-on AL developer with deep knowledge of Business Central’s extension model, data architecture, and integration capabilities.
W-2 candidates are preferred. C2C/1099/Self-incorporated contractors may be considered. No 3rd party C2C inquiries will be entertained.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead ERP Development
• Develop, test, and deploy AL extensions in Business Central.
• Build role-tailored experiences (e.g., role centers, posting routines, approval flows).
• Develop and consume APIs, OData, and SOAP web services for ERP integrations.
• Connect BC with external systems (CRM, Shopify, finance).
• Maintain technical documentation of customizations, extensions, and integrations.
• Design and manage data migration strategies from legacy systems.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and transformation.
Systems Administration
• Ensure security, compliance, and data protection across all technology systems.
• Oversee backups, disaster recovery processes, and data retention policies.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Keep an updated inventory of equipment and software licenses
DevOps & Deployment
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for ERP customizations
• Manage multiple BC environments: sandbox, UAT, and production.
• Version control code with Git, including branching and release management.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot errors, and optimize ERP operations.
Required:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or a combination of MS Dynamics NAV (Navision) and Business Central experience, including configuration, customization, and integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. 4 years of additional applicable experience can be substituted for degree.
• Solid debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive, self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently.
Technical stack:
