Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead the execution of telecom, TSS, and light construction projects in compliance with U.S. Department of State (OBO) standards. The Project Manager will be responsible for full-cycle project management including planning, execution, resource allocation, quality control, and stakeholder engagement. This role requires a proven ability to manage complex technical and construction projects in challenging environments, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Ideal Skills, Certifications, and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience managing engineering, telecommunications, technical security systems (TSS), or construction projects.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously in international or government contracting environments.
Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification strongly preferred.
- Certifications in Agile, Risk Management, or Lean Six Sigma are a plus.
Knowledge:
- Strong familiarity with U.S. Department of State OBO Building Standards and Federal Government contracting.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop, implement, and oversee project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Direct daily project activities, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organizational goals.
- Monitor project performance and proactively resolve issues to keep projects on track.
Resource & Contractor Management
- Lead and coordinate project teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure efficient execution.
- Oversee procurement, resource allocation, and contract compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact with clients, government representatives, and internal leadership.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports, presentations, and project documentation.
Quality & Compliance Oversight
- Implement and enforce quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with OBO standards.
- Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
Project Closeout & Continuous Improvement
- Oversee project handover and closeout activities, ensuring all deliverables are met.
- Identify lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
