We are seeking an Intermediate to Senior Software Engineer to join our Ground Solutions and Mission Support (GSMS) Software Integrated Project Team (IPT). This team supports both development and operations & maintenance contracts, focusing on mission operational software product lines and new capability development for a restricted SCI customer. This is a 100% on-site position in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) in Redondo Beach, CA.
Responsibilities
Develop software in C++ within a fast-paced Agile environment using Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems
Design, code, and unit test new software capabilities based on Mathematical Algorithm Requirements (MARs)
Troubleshoot and resolve software discrepancies and deliver fixes
Collaborate with subject matter experts and senior engineers across multiple subsystems
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5–8 years of experience, Master’s with 3–6 years, or PhD with 1–4 years (additional 4 years of relevant software experience may substitute for degree)
Active SSBI clearance at application; SCI eligibility prior to start
Advanced object-oriented programming skills and proficiency in C++
Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
DevSecOps test automation experience
Familiarity with C, C++, Java, Python, Perl
Strong mathematical and algorithmic skills
Experience with Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
Git-based development in Linux environments
Active SCI clearance
Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI
