Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Microsoft Purview Administrator to support an enterprise modernization effort for a Treasury customer. The role focuses on Microsoft Purview administration, data governance, DLP policy development, eDiscovery support, and Microsoft 365 security and compliance enablement within a highly secure environment.
This is a Fully Remote position that requires eligibility for a U.S. Public Trust Clearance
Responsibilities of the Microsoft Purview Administrator:
• Design, implement, and optimize Microsoft Purview governance and compliance policies, including data classification, sensitivity labeling, and DLP rules
• Deploy and configure Purview and Microsoft 365 compliance services; administer role groups, permissions, and compliance workflows
• Protect sensitive data and mitigate insider/external risks through information protection and insider risk management solutions
• Manage eDiscovery workflows, including legal hold, data collection, search, review, and export
• Support risk assessments, audit activities, and documentation for compliance stakeholders
• Collaborate with IT, security, legal, and business teams to enforce data governance standards and provide training on compliance tools and policies
• Monitor policy effectiveness and recommend enhancements to align with regulatory frameworks and organizational objectives
Qualifications for the Microsoft Purview Administrator:
• Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years progressive IT experience, Associate's with 10+ years, or 12+ years equivalent IT experience
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
• Hands-on administration experience with Microsoft Purview (Compliance Portal)
• Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance principles
• Experience with DLP, data classification, sensitivity labeling, and eDiscovery workflows
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 environments and services such as Entra ID
• Experience supporting audits, risk assessments, and compliance reporting
• PowerShell scripting experience preferred (not required)
Compensation & Benefits:
• $120,000 - $135,000 *DOE*
