Open Systems Technologies Corporation is looking for a QLIK Platform Engineer to join our team of experts to assist with building state of the art data platforms for the Department of Defense's premier data analytics platform.
\"WINGMAN is CDAO's Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platform enabling mission teams to automate high-value workflows. We're hiring a staff-level contributor who will own two core workstreams:
Modern analytics dashboarding-updating and migrating our Qlik app(s) ensuring exclusive data sourcing from Databricks repos and making it straightforward to add new organizations to the dashboards; and
User & org administration-operational onboarding and ongoing administration for new organizations and users in Automation Suite (entitlements, RBAC, license management, audit).
You'll partner closely with product, data engineering, security/ICAM, and customer success to keep dashboards accurate, performant, and compliant while making onboarding turnkey for mission teams.
What you'll do
A) Analytics Dashboarding (Qlik → Databricks)
Migrate existing Qlik app(s) to "modern Qlik" (e.g., Qlik Sense/Qlik Cloud) and refactor load scripts and data models to pull exclusively from Databricks repositories, SQL Warehouses, and Unity Catalog assets.
Design robust data models (star/snowflake) and optimize set analysis, expressions, and section access for performance and security.
Implement row-/column-level security and tagging aligned to Unity Catalog + RBAC, ensuring PII/controlled data rules are enforced end-to-end.
Create a scalable organization-onboarding pattern for dashboards (naming conventions, repo structure, metadata, and templated app objects) to add new orgs without one-off engineering.
Build CI/CD for Qlik app changes (versioning, peer review, test promotion) and baseline observability (reload monitoring, app health, SLA alerts).
Author clear technical documentation (data lineage, connection architecture, onboarding runbooks) and provide coaching to analysts and dashboard consumers.
B) User & Organization Administration (Automation Suite)
Onboard new organizations into Automation Suite: tenant setup, connectors, environment config, and baseline governance controls.
Provision and maintain user access & entitlements (groups/roles), enforce RBAC, conduct access reviews, and manage license allocation..
Operate a lightweight intake → fulfillment process (tickets/runbooks), track SLAs, and publish self-service guides for org admins and power users.
Maintain compliance artifacts (onboarding approvals, access review evidence, change logs) and support audits.
Partner with platform engineering and CX to triage issues, drive root cause analysis, and prevent recurrence.
Minimum qualifications
3-5+ years in analytics platform operations, data engineering, or BI development supporting production workloads.
Qlik expertise: Qlik Sense/Qlik Cloud app development, load scripting, set analysis, section access, and performance tuning.
Databricks expertise: SQL Warehouses, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, repo workflows; strong SQL; familiarity with notebooks/jobs.
DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred qualifications
Prior work in DoD or federal environments; familiarity with IL levels, STIGs, or controlled data handling.
RPA platform experience (e.g., Automation Suite administration, bot lifecycle operations, connectors).
Experience operating in governed environments (audit logging, change management, documentation, access reviews).
Background in customer success or platform enablement (training, templating, "center of excellence" patterns).\"
