Financial Analyst I

Mayvin is seeking to hire a Financial Analyst I to support the U.S. Marshals Service's (USMS) Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR). This role will focus on financial analysis, reporting, and administrative support to ensure accurate tracking of resources and efficient office operations. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear communication are essential.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must undergo a Background Investigation (BI)

Responsibilities :

• Processes financial documents and transactions utilizing the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS)
• Reviews accounting practices to ensure compliance with other Federal laws and regulations (e.g., Single Audit Act), generally accepted Government accounting practices, and relevant Office of Management and Budget circulars
• Identifies corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds
• Reviews and analyzes annual financial statements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures
• Tracks and monitors expenditures, burn rate reports, and contract actions to ensure the Program Office adheres to the approved budget plan
