Northrop Grumman Advanced Weapons is seeking a highly skilled C++ Embedded Engineer 3 to design, develop, and maintain real-time embedded software for defense-grade hardware platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in modern C++, low-level programming, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and the ability to work within rigorous security and safety frameworks.
You will be part of a multidiscipline engineering team in Advanced Weapons and will be on the forefront of developing next generation solutions to protect technology for our nation's warfighters.
Responsibilities:
• Support one of our programs for defining and architecting a secured missile
weapon system.
• Collaborate with team members of other projects within the organization for
security architecture designs as well as external partners and customers.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team of hardware engineers, system architects,
and verification specialists, to deliver robust, high-performance code that meets
stringent DoD requirements.
• Develop and implement software for embedded devices and systems based on requirements.
• Design. develop. code. test and debug system software.
• Participate in all aspects of software development lifecycle activities in an agile environment.
• Translate high-level system requirements into detailed software specifications
and test cases.
• Software requirements verification and validation.
Basic qualifications for a C++ Embedded Software Engineer 3:
• Bachelor's degree in related subject with 5+ years of experience with C++ on
embedded real-time systems or a master's degree with 3+ years of C++
experience working on embedded real-time systems.
• Experience in C++ embedded software development working within an Agile
environment.
• Experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation,
integration, debug, and maintenance are required.
• Experience with one or more Software languages/technologies: C/C++, Java,
Python, C#.
• *Must have an Active US Government Secret Security clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
