Description:This position is for a Sustainment Engineer to support the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) program support responsible for logistics, and support requirements for the lifecycle of the product. Reports directly to the Logistics Sustainment Engineering Manager under the PrSM Production contracts. Personnel are responsible for reporting and data analysis and must keep open lines of communication with program for related activities. Perform Logistics effort includes coordinating supply related services for material / hardware movements in support of program activities based on the Program schedule. Coordinate shipments in and out of the facility. Track calibrated tooling to ensure date compliance. Must be able to work well with other team members, handle multiple tasks and provide logistical support for a multitude of different contracts. Awareness and/or experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Coordinates with program POCs to provide timely status which requires interfacing with multiple functional groups to achieve completion of sustainment activities. Candidate will interface with multiple disciplines daily and should have strong interpersonal skills and a desire to learn. Candidate will spend majority of time working in a team environment.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related engineering discipline
-Excellent Oral and Written communication skills
Proficiency/experience using Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint
-Must be able to obtain Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
-Active Secret Clearance
-Knowledge of shipping/receiving/warehousing activities
-Able to execute warehouse tasks that involve lifting items that weigh 40 lbs.
-Able to operate material handling equipment (pallet stacker, forklift, etc.
-Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships.
-Technical writing experience and an ability to perform oral presentations in front of large groups.
-Experience with the government DD250 Process
-Completes assignments requiring independent judgment and discretion.
