Duties
This position is located at the 162nd in Tucson, Arizona. The primary purpose of this position is to lead subordinates in the performance of weapon systems maintenance. In addition, duties include journey level work, which involve the inspection, repairing, modifying, overhauling, maintaining, installing/removing, troubleshooting, and analyzing performance of aircraft ordnance systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess at least 24 months experience at the journeyman level [Experience or training in planning and layout of repair sequence and ability to complete modification, repair, and installation of ordnance systems. Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions and determining remedies where complex relationships exist. Experience in hand tools and the use of a variety of measuring and test equipment. Experience in interpreting technical directions, blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's specifications.] and possess experience demonstrating the ability to plan, organize, and lead the work of others in fields directly related to the repair function of this occupational series. Must have the ability to perform administrative functions; to read and interpret a variety of technical publications used in the repair of supported equipment. The ability to guide others in work related directly to this occupational series.

- ARIZONA AIR NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Air National Guard, in a military position assigned to 162nd.
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guar, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Incumbent must possess and maintain a current state driver's license.
- Individual must possess a 7level due to nature of the job and inability to acquire upgraded training.
- This position is subject to rotating or night shift work.
