Systems and Network Security Engineer
The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your experience in cyber and risk management that will support our U.S. Navy client in safeguarding their information management systems? As a systems security and network security engineer, you can identify the risk management framework policies and tasks needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to develop and implement security solutions that will assist in protecting our Navy client's systems and critical data.
On our team, you'll troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of the Navy Risk Management Framework ( RMF ) to assist our client in maintaining the system authority to operate. You'll use your curiosity for technology and market trends to further research and develop security solutions. Using your experience in vulnerability and risk management, you'll help assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls.
In this role, you'll closely impact the customer's ability to maintain a positive system security posture through continuous monitoring and vulnerability management. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. What You'll Work On:
- Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
- Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.
- Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas.
- Leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
- 3+ years of experience working with the RMF ATO process
- Knowledge of NIST 800-53 Rev 4 or 5, and security controls
- Knowledge of systems threat and vulnerability management with tools such as Tenable
- Ability to c ond uct vulnerability assessments utilizing scanning tools
- Ability to assist in writing IA policies and procedures, and research and interpret government regulations and standards
- Ability to provide guidance assistance to all levels of A & A technical and non-technical personnel
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- CompTIA Security+ CE and CASP+ Certifications
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with policy , documentation, and workflow tools such as Micro sof t Office Suite, SharePoint, and Jira
- Knowledge of the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service ( eMASS ) , the U.S. Department of Defense's ( DoD ) web-based platform for managing cybersecurity, streamlining RMF for system authorization, tracking security controls, and generating essential compliance documentation for DoD systems
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
