Software Integration Engineer
On-site in Huntsville, AL
Target salary range: $90,000 - $120,000.00/Year
Active Secret Clearance Required to Start
Responsibilities:
- Integrate software components across subsystems and environments.
- Assist in software builds, configuration, and release management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
- Support integration and system-level testing events and execution.
- Review interface definitions and system documentation to support integration tasks.
- Develop and maintain documentation for integration procedures, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Ensure adherence to program-defined configuration management and quality assurance standards.
- Participate in daily Scrum meetings as part of an Agile development process.
- Attain and maintain Security+ certification and complete required training for privileged user access.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field with 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience.
- Clearance: Active Secret security clearance required.
- Core Competencies:
- Hands-on experience with software integration of multiple components into a unified system.
- Proficient in Windows and Linux system administration.
- Skilled in writing installation manuals and technical integration documentation.
- Scripting experience in Bash, C Shell, Python.
- Familiarity with the Atlassian toolset: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of the GSS Launch Management Systems interface and concept of operations (or willingness to gain expertise).
- Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible Tower.
- Familiarity with Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Ability to read and troubleshoot application source code, ASCII logs, and XML logs.
- Ability to perform basic SQL operations in MySQL environments.
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent IAT Level II per DoD 8570.01M).
- Experience working in classified environments with strict cybersecurity and access control requirements
