Responsibilities:
Provide technical assistance to the client to include identity management system interface troubleshooting.
Able to provide periodic 24/7 on call support.
Demonstrate understanding of WAN/LAN infrastructures, telecommunications concepts, network layers, design, protocols and encryption.
Provide support with semi-complex testing and troubleshooting in a variety of engineering tasks.
Troubleshoot various system malfunctions with end users, to include installation technicians.
Communicate with on-site personnel to properly evaluate and resolve the system malfunction.
Generate system application reports based on provided requirements and parameters.
Provide semi-complex design, development, testing and modifications of solutions material specification and schematic preparation other system operations assistance and appropriate follow-up.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education and or combination of education, experience.
Minimum of 5 years experience, in Network Administration and Engineering.
Must have experience with Network Security Protocols, Active Directory, and associated hardware.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals to include basic router and switch configuration and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of applicable government standards and guidelines for electronic security systems, anti-terrorism/force protection.
Knowledge of physical security automated access control applications.
Knowledge of automated workflow ticketing systems preferably Maximo.
Certifications are a plus.
Cisco experience, routers, encryption devices, switches, networking protocol's and or related security disciplines.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and will be subject to a government security investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Minimum Secret clearance with later upgrade to TS (possibly to SCI).
Must be capable of processing, interpreting, resolving readily identifiable to complex, less clearly-defined technical access control issues.
Must be able to provide periodic 24/7 on call support.
Tier II or III Helpdesk experience helpful.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work with little to no oversight.
Able to work independently.
