Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector - located in Linthicum, MD - has an immediate need for an International Trade Compliance Analyst. This position can be hired as a Principal/level 3 or Sr. Principal/level 4 position and can be worked from Linthicum, MD, Rolling Meadows, IL; Irving, TX; Woodland Hills, CA,; Charlottesville, VA; or remote/virtual.
This role is part of the Transportation Organization and is focused on export operations, trade compliance and program support in the defense industry.
What You'll get to Do:
- Serve as an export gatekeeper and subject matter expert on export logistics and export regulatory compliance requirements for the compliant export of defense industry articles, assuring all internal requirements and processes are followed and reinforced.
The ideal candidate will possess subject matter expertise and proven track record in the compliant exporting of defense articles, project cargo shipments, HTS/Schedule B classification, program support and be detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to multi-task several projects at once.

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $141,200.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $176,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. - Provide guidance and support to programs and other internal stakeholders on international trade compliance requirements such as export declarations, classification, Customs valuation, country of origin, returns for repair, material to vendor, etc.
- Coordinate and provide expertise, guidance and support to programs on project cargo shipments and complex exports.
- Determine, assign and verify HTS & Schedule B classifications and document rationales, rules of origin and applicability of other government agency trade compliance requirements, required for compliant and accurate declarations to government authorities including but not limited to Customs, Census, DoS, BIS, USMIL, EPA and FDA
- Determine the best method of transportation globally, referring to documentation for destination, considering factors such as export/import authority, expense, delivery times, and user requirements. Contact carriers and interdepartmental personnel to discuss delivery issues, recommending rescheduling, alternate routines, alternate carriers and the like.

- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience; candidates without a Bachelor's degree will be considered if they have a minimum of 9 years of relevant industry experience
- Experience in U.S. Export/Import Regulations, international logistics, operations, project cargo or supply chain pertaining to Trade Compliance, Freight Forwarding and Customs Brokerage
- 5+ years experience in HTSUS/Schedule B classification
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance
- US Citizenship

- Experience with U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Experience with U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
- 10+ years experience in HTS/Schedule B classification in aerospace & defense industry
