Description:Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer for the JASSM Enterprise Software (JES) Program. In this role, you will be working on an agile development team and will be responsible for supporting elements of the design/development effort. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of web application design, development, and test. Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
WHAT WE DO
The Joint Air to Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) - Enterprise Software development for the USAF Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) is a United States Air Force (USAF) program to provide an autonomous, long-range, conventional, air-to-ground, precision missile able to strike highly defended, high value targets. JASSM Enterprise Software (JES) was developed to improve quality and speed in targeting and strike planning solutions across multiple 363rd Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group (363 ISRG) production units and the Standoff Munitions Application Centers (SMAC).
The JES program is expanding to support JASSM foreign military sales (FMS) partner countries.
THE WORK
The JES software developer will focus on the development of software products for JASSM to provide targeting and strike planning solutions to our customers. We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the software development team, you will be part of the entire engineering life cycle and apply your Software Engineering background to develop web-based front-end and back-end applications. WHO WE ARE
As part of the C4ISR Weapons Platform Integration (WPI) team, you will support on-site software development as part of the JASSM Enterprise Software program. Reporting to a Product Owner, you will work with cross-functional, multi-site teams and should be comfortable working in a highly dynamic customer environment.
WHO YOU ARE
You appreciate the analytical side of work and can visualize and understand complex systems- you think optimization problems are fun! At the same time, you find it easy (and also fun) interacting with colleagues and customers. You enjoy the design, development, and testing of software applications with minimal oversight.
Basic Qualifications:
• BS degree in Computer Science or related field
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle
• Software Engineering experience or education
• This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline
• Experienced in software development using Angular front-end and/or C# backend languages
• Experience working in an Agile development environment, including tools such as Azure DevOps or GitLab
• Experience with frameworks such as .NET Core, Angular, etc.
• Experienced in software databases such as Microsoft SQL
• Experience building and deploying software for defense mission system
• Strong knowledge of modern technology frameworks, microservices, APIs, DevOps, and data architecture

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
