Seneca Technologies is seeking a User Experience (UX) Designer to support a program with the Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service. The objective of this work is to collaborate with stakeholders and developers to create visually appealing, functional, and user-friendly interfaces for digital platforms to ensure usability, accessibility, and overall satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles and the ability to work seamlessly with backend developers.
The UX Designer is responsible for monitoring user experience and ensuring that websites, software programs and products are easy to use. Duties include reviewing user feedback to determine potential defects or areas for clarity, working closely with stakeholders to refine user experience and performing usability tests on website features to ensure functionality.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- User Research: Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. This may involve interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Design Solutions: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that translate user needs into intuitive and engaging user experiences.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business goals.
- Usability Testing: Perform usability tests on design and iterate based on user feedback to improve the overall user experience.
- Documentation: Maintain design documentation, including user flows, personas, and design specifications, to communicate design decisions effectively to stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, graphic designs, storyboards and site maps
- Provide guidance on the implementation of UX research techniques and testing activities to assess user behavior
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with an appropriate toolset for the design of web applications.
- Use resources effectively and efficiently to get work completed in a fast-paced environment.
- US Citizen and able to pass security clearances as required for Government contracts.
- Minimum 3 years of professional architecture experience in AWS.
- Ability to present and lead customers through process flows and design layouts.
- Familiarity with source control processes such as Git, work item management, branch management, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge and experience with professional web-design principles and practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with modern web frameworks such as React, Vue.js, and/or Angular.
- Experience with estimating software solutions and assessing project risk.
- Experience with Agile development processes.
