Sr. Systems Engineer

The Opportunity

Responsible for design, implement and maintain integrated IT system solutions. Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Design, integrate, and support fielded multi-sensor C-UAS solutions tailored to operational needs and environments.

Key Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

• Design, integrate, and support fielded multi-sensor C-UAS solutions tailored to operational needs and environments.

Core Technical Areas:

• Conduct and document market research on emerging C-UAS technologies and vendor capabilities to inform acquisition and modernization efforts.
• Develop and validate technical requirements, system specifications, and integrated plans for C-UAS subsystems.
• Plan and advise on RDT&E activities, including configuration management and performance metric validation.
• Understanding of UAS platform variations and C2 communications (C2, FPV, SATCOM, LTE).
• Knowledge of distributed sensor fusion architectures and data transport.
• Network architecture, routing, secure communications, VPN, TAK/ATAK system integration.

Senior Engineering Responsibilities:

• Document market research on emerging C-UAS and vendor capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership and SME in the design, integration, and sustainment of C-UAS across multi-domain environments.
• Evaluate system performance through data analysis and field assessments to identify opportunities to enhance mission readiness.
• Lead engineering reviews and technical exchange meetings to ensure designs align with operational objectives.
• Manage risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies related to system interoperability and lifecycle support.
• Oversee configuration baselines to ensure traceability and compliance with established engineering and acquisition standards.
• Troubleshoot real-time system issues alongside operators.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices across acquisition, field assessments, and testing.

Communication and Leadership:

• Capable of briefing senior government and military stakeholders.
• Works effectively across engineering, operations, and program leadership.
• Supports proposal writing, ROMs, and solution narratives where needed.
