The software architect will provide functional and empirical analysis related to the testing of software systems. The full-time duty location is onsite at Aberdeen Proving Ground and the role will support development, integration, and testing activities.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident. Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Secret clearance. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

• Provide functional and empirical analysis related to the testing of software systems.
• Interact with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design.
• Participate in the development of test strategies.
• Solve engineering problems or manage the solution of engineering problems within the assigned functional area.

Experience Requirements:
Experience Requirements

• Software development and integration background.
• DevSecOps experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and CI/CD.
• Kubernetes experience including container lifecycle, creation, and customization.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell and Batch.
• Front-end web design experience.
• Architect experience of three years within the last five years.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or another Engineering or Technical discipline. Minimum of five years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Must have an active Secret or Top-Secret Clearance to apply.
