QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE
Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant mustpossess the experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration, such as compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant mustpossess one year of specialized experience at the GS 07 grade level or civilian equivalent which includes: 1) thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management; 2) experience developing administrative procedures; and 3) experience providing technical guidance and assistance to customers and management.
Education
Applicant must meet one of the following education requirements to use in lieu of one year specialized experience at the GS 07 grade level.
Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in a field related to the position.
OR
Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

- Plans, organizes, and oversees all unit level deployment activities.
- Configures and maintains functional Unit Type Codes (UTCs) as postured by MAJCOM FAMs (Functional Area Managers) using available unit assets.
- Performs analysis activities.
- Establishes metric and system analysis systems for unit and higher level management to assess the efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory procedures.
- Analyzes the combat capability of unit through intensive evaluation of training, equipment status, manning, and unit supervision.
- Provides technical guidance and recommendations to senior leadership regarding unit deployment program.
- Advises commander on the direction, management, and operation of all aspects of unit deployment capabilities.
- Ensures personnel and equipment readiness.
- Ensures the unit is ready to meet wartime and peacetime mobility taskings by scheduling and tracking unit deployment training.
- Ensures authorized deployment equipment and supplies are maintained in a constant state of readiness.
- Coordinates all readiness training and monitors unit members' deployment eligibility with the assistance from additional duty unit deployment managers, as appropriate.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the ND National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
