Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and develop electrical and electronic systems for submarines, including navigation, communications, photonics and tactical control systems.
  • Lead and support laboratory and shipboard testing of electrical systems to verify performance against specifications, identify defects, and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and analyze shipboard power systems, conduct load analysis, phase balancing, and ensure fault tolerance and redundancy.
  • Prepare technical reports, schematics, and documentation in accordance with military, industry, and company standards (MIL-SPECs, IEEE, EMI/EMC, etc.).
  • Support design, development, and testing of advanced submarine electronic systems.focuses on ship's power distribution, phase balancing, and integrated electronic subsystems


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • 3 years of professional experience in d esign, development and testing of electrical and electronic equipment.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
  • Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines:
  • Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces.
  • Able to climb vertical ladders (20' - 25') within the submarine.


Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $77,600.00/Yr. - USD $129,600.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
