KBR, Inc. is seeking a highly-experienced Defense Acquisition Program Senior Test and Evaluation (T&E) Manager to join our dynamic team at Eglin Air Force Base (AFB), Florida. The successful candidate will provide critical T&E planning, management and decision support to the Director/Chief Engineering Leader during the acquisition of Air Force and joint service air-to-air and/or air-to-ground weapons. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in defense acquisition T&E and a proven ability to lead complex test programs.

KBR, Inc. is seeking a highly-experienced Defense Acquisition Program Senior Test and Evaluation (T&E) Manager to join our dynamic team at Eglin Air Force Base (AFB), Florida. The successful candidate will provide critical T&E planning, management and decision support to the Director/Chief Engineering Leader during the acquisition of Air Force and joint service air-to-air and/or air-to-ground weapons. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in defense acquisition T&E and a proven ability to lead complex test programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic T&E Leadership: Develop and lead the overall T&E strategy, master plans, and schedules for assigned major acquisition programs, ensuring alignment with program goals and warfighter needs.
- Test Program Management: Design, plan, coordinate, execute, and analyze comprehensive test and evaluation plans, events, scenarios, and procedures to verify and validate armament systems against performance requirements.
- Stakeholder & Team Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for T&E coordination with government customers, senior leaders, and external contractors.
- Coordinate with outside test organizations, including the 96th Test Wing, 728th TW, 53rd Wing, 780th TS, and other national test ranges.
- Participate in and lead T&E Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and other cross-functional working groups to ensure seamless program integration.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Develop critical T&E documentation, including Test and Evaluation Strategies (TES), Integrated Test Team (ITT) Charters, and Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs).
- Prepare and review criteria, computation/analyses, specifications, cost estimates, test plans, and technical reports.
- Risk & Anomaly Management:
- Create and maintain risk documentation, developing and implementing mitigation strategies for the program manager's portfolio.
- Analyze performance anomalies to determine root causes, failure mechanisms, and potential remedies.
- Cost & Performance Analysis:
- Assist in the development of system cost estimates by identifying and phasing the work required to meet warfighter needs.
- Provide senior-level test support to leadership discussions with industry counterparts, offering insights into performance and testing.
- Advanced Simulation: Develop complex simulation scenarios to evaluate product performance under a wide range of operational conditions.
Work Environment:
- Location: On-site (Eglin AFB, FL)
- Travel Requirements: Moderate, 20-40%
- Working Hours: Standard - Core hours 0900 - 1500
Qualifications:
Required:
- Current Top Secret, SCI Eligible clearance
- SAP eligibility (Counterintelligence Polygraph may be required)
- Bachelors Degree
- 15+ years experience executing the required tasks
- Experience planning, coordinating and executing weapon test events with the 96th Test Wing, 728th TW, 53rd Wing, 780th TS, and other national test ranges
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, internal and customer facing
- Availability for ad-hoc and recurring customer and team meetings during core business hours. Position likely to have limited telework.
Desired:
- Masters Degree in related field
- Former Test Manger/Test Lead, or Test and Evaluation Senior Support Manager of an ACAT I Defense Acquisition program with 15+ years experience
- Direct experience on ACAT I programs in the development phase
- Experience as a Test Manager on an air-to-air or air-to-ground weapons program
- Experience bringing Agile, Digital Engineering, or advanced data integration management techniques to bear on Defense Acquisition
