Description
The Account Manager for the National Reconnaissance Office is responsible for defining and executing the growth strategy for Leidos’ NRO portfolio. This role leads identification, shaping, and capture of new business opportunities by translating NRO mission priorities into executable growth plans aligned to enterprise objectives.
The Account Manager works closely with senior leadership to set account strategy, lead pipeline and portfolio reviews, govern discretionary investments, and sponsor key internal and external relationships supporting NRO missions.

The Account Manager for the National Reconnaissance Office is responsible for defining and executing the growth strategy for Leidos’ NRO portfolio. This role leads identification, shaping, and capture of new business opportunities by translating NRO mission priorities into executable growth plans aligned to enterprise objectives.
The Account Manager works closely with senior leadership to set account strategy, lead pipeline and portfolio reviews, govern discretionary investments, and sponsor key internal and external relationships supporting NRO missions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Own overall growth strategy, pipeline health, and long-term portfolio development for the NRO account.
- Qualify, prioritize, and sequence NRO opportunities to maximize win probability and sustainable account growth.
- Shape opportunities early by influencing requirements development, acquisition approaches, contract vehicles, and alignment to Leidos capabilities.
- Develop and execute NRO-focused growth plans aligned to enterprise objectives across space-based ISR, mission ground systems, data exploitation, and resilient architectures.
- Serve as the primary account lead for NRO, coordinating an integrated approach across Leidos sectors and business areas.
- Ensure alignment between growth and delivery organizations supporting NRO programs, enabling cohesive strategy, investment, and execution.
- Drive cross-organizational collaboration to remove barriers, align incentives, and accelerate growth.
- Lead market intelligence and competitive analysis to inform positioning, price-to-win strategies, and pursuit decisions.
- Serve as a key decision authority in bid decisions, gate reviews, capture strategies, and cost and pricing development.
- Sponsor executive engagement and customer research to anticipate evolving NRO mission needs and translate insights into actionable capture strategies.
- Establish and maintain senior-level relationships across NRO mission and acquisition organizations; assess and anticipate competitor strategies across the portfolio.
Basic Qualifications
- Established senior-level relationships across the National Reconnaissance Office with demonstrated ability to influence strategy and acquisition outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree and 15 or more years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ten or more years of senior leadership experience in defense, intelligence, space, or government services markets, including business development, capture, portfolio planning, and delivery oversight.
- Demonstrated success leading or sponsoring captures exceeding $100M, including early shaping, win strategy development, and pricing and investment contributions.
- Strong knowledge of NRO acquisition strategies, contracting approaches, and mission priorities.
- Experience supporting space-based intelligence, overhead ISR, mission ground systems, or data processing and exploitation missions.
- Ability to guide advanced technology portfolios such as space systems, digital engineering, cyber resilience, AI/ML, and cloud-based architectures from concept through deployment.
- Understanding of competitive dynamics in the national security space market.
- Executive-level written and verbal communication skills with experience briefing senior executives and government customers.
- Experience managing and prioritizing a multi-billion-dollar qualified pipeline.
- Active TS/SCI clearance; SAP eligibility preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in business, engineering, space systems, security studies, or a related field.
- Prior program or portfolio leadership supporting NRO or national security space missions.
- Broad Intelligence Community and national security space network, including ODNI, USSF, SDA, NGA, and NSA.
- Demonstrated experience integrating complex, multi-sector solutions and leading cross-functional capture teams.
- Experience leading enterprise-level pursuits, strategic partnerships, and alliance strategies.
- Familiarity with emerging mission areas such as resilient space architectures, proliferated LEO systems, digital mission engineering, and advanced analytics.
- Recognition as a trusted advisor within the NRO or broader national security space community
