Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Electrician to perform advanced maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting on various electrical systems, with a specific emphasis on circuit breakers and distribution components in commercial and/or industrial settings. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure system reliability and compliance with all safety codes.

 Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspection, diagnostic testing, and troubleshooting on various types of circuit breakers (e.g., low-voltage, high-voltage, vacuum-sealed) and related switchgear.
  • Conduct specialized mechanical and electrical performance tests, which may include time travel analysis, insulation testing, contact resistance, and power factor testing using a variety of testing devices.
  • Diagnose complex electrical problems, identify faulty components, and repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
  • Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan layouts and ensure code compliance.
  • Install, maintain, and repair wiring, control, and lighting systems, including panels, transformers, and other safety and distribution components.
  • Follow all state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Prepare accurate test reports, maintain detailed service records, and document work completed.
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and project managers, communicating technical information clearly and professionally.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced personnel or apprentices as needed.


Basic Qualifications
  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing electrician, with demonstrable experience in electrical maintenance and specific breaker testing.
  • Possession of a valid Journeyman Electrician license in good standing.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, theory, high/low voltage applications.
  • Skilled in using a variety of electrical testing devices (Primary/Secondary injection test sets, multimeters, ohmmeters, thermal scanners, etc.), power tools, and hand tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and effective communication abilities.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting 50+ lbs, working at heights, and in confined spaces.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, including OSHA 10/30 and lockout/tagout procedures.
