We're hiring a seasoned systems engineer to support operations analysis and effectiveness engineering for Navy Commercial Satellite Communications (COMSATCOM) initiatives, including CBSP and STtNG programs. This role is critical in shaping end-to-end C4I solutions that strengthen maritime connectivity and mission readiness.
You'll work directly with leadership, recommend strategic approaches, evaluate software and systems, and ensure robust and cost-effective SATCOM capabilities across Navy platforms.

What You'll Do
- Analyze and enhance effectiveness for COMSATCOM and STtNG satellite terminal solutions
- Recommend end-to-end C4I capabilities aligned with strategic goals
- Create accurate, justifiable cost estimates for technical solutions
- Assess system threat evolutions and their impact on terminal and satellite performance
- Evaluate shore-based Navy Teleport solutions and provide leadership with recommendations
- Review vendor reports for technical accuracy and completeness
- Analyze current and proposed COMSATCOM planning tools for Navy requirement alignment
- Recommend upgrades and improvements to existing software planning tools
- Support Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) reviews with technical feedback for program leadership
What You'll Bring
- At least 10 years of experience supporting SATCOM systems
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Active Secret clearance
- Background in systems engineering and SME-level analysis for COMSATCOM
- Experience leading engineering design and implementation efforts
- Familiarity with DoD and Navy acquisition processes, including PoRs and relevant documentation
- Understanding of PEO C4I / NAVWAR organization, mission, and structure
- Prior work with Navy C4I systems, NAVWAR programs, and NIWC Pacific engineering efforts
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Effective program/project management capabilities to handle both short-term tasks and long-term deliverables
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and team-building skills
