Position Overview
The Combat Arms and Munitions Management Analyst provides direct functional and operational support to the Combat Arms Program Manager and the Munitions User Functional Manager (MUFM) within the Security Forces functional community. The role supports munitions management, combat arms operations, and small arms/light weapons (SA/LW) programs to ensure mission readiness, regulatory compliance, and effective execution of munitions management processes.
This position requires demonstrated experience with ground munitions, SA/LW, and non-lethal munitions, as well as the ability to analyze requirements, validate forecasts, and contribute to policy, training, and governance artifacts.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support the Combat Arms Program Manager in:
o Munitions management activities
o Combat arms program execution
o Oversight of small arms/light weapons (SA/LW)
· Assist the Munitions User Functional Manager (MUFM) by:
o Applying established munitions management business practices
o Identifying, interpreting, and applying authoritative source documents to derive munitions requirements
o Analyzing data to validate munitions forecasts and allocation decisions
o Serving as a supporting subject matter resource for issues related to:
§ Ground munitions
§ SA/LW
§ Non-lethal munitions across all functional areas
· Provide guidance and support to unit-level combat arms sections, including:
o Ensuring alignment with training standards, policy, and doctrine
· Support the development, maintenance, and refinement of:
o Associated procedures, policy, and formal guidance documentation
· Prepare and staff official correspondence and decision-support products, including:
o Electronic Staff Summary Sheets (e-SSS)
o Emails Ready to Send (EMRS)
o All materials prepared in accordance with established MUFM templates
