Job Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications (Engineering Tech 4)
• High School Diploma or equivalent plus 6 years of additional related education or experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical, manufacturing, and production processes.
• Ability to interpret 2D drawings.
• Strong analytical and creative skills to diagnose issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical components and systems.
• Computer skills must include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with external customers and all plant personnel.
• Comfortable making presentations in front of peers and senior leadership.
• U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Experience reviewing detailed drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Machining experience.
• Ability to use and read standard measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical systems, tools, and hands on experience.
Primary Level Salary Range: $68,300.00 - $113,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex tooling systems, dies, molds, and fixtures.
- Assist engineers in designing, building, and modifying custom tools and equipment.
- Inspect tools for wear, ensure parts meet tolerances, and collaborate on process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
- Create and update maintenance work orders, purchase orders, purchase requests, and accurate job documentation.
- Work closely with program management, engineering, operations, and quality control team members to address challenges and support production goals.
- Train production staff on proper tool usage and maintenance.
- Interface with various groups such as vendors, machine shops, maintenance crafts, inspection, process engineering, and operations to support program tooling needs.
- Understand/monitor cost and schedule.
- Review engineering drawings and designs for manufacturability.
- Support vendors and shops as needed during fabrication.
