You will be the Nuclear Hardening and Survivability Engineer - Level 4 for the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics team, which is responsible for developing and implementing design and mitigation strategies to ensure the survivability of weapon systems in nuclear threat environments.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Nuclear Hardening and Survivability Engineer - Level 4, you will be responsible for performing NH&S engineering functions to support the development of survivable weapon systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and mitigate the effects of nuclear threats, including Electromagnetic Pulse, Ionizing Radiation, Thermal Radiation, Air-Blast, and Radiological exposure.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience with leading and executing the analysis and/or evaluation/validation of components, equipment, subsystems, or weapon system analytical models and actual system implementation for weapons compliance to operationally relevant nuclear threat environments.
• Experience with nuclear hardened aircraft designs and/or methodologies.
Desired Skills:
• Experience working with other Federal agencies, industry, National and/or Service Laboratories & Test facilities.
• Experience working with cross-functional technical teams. Experience presenting to senior leaders, program management, and/or external customers.
• Technical planning, specification requirements derivation, test and analysis, design, planning and execution, documentation, and/or requirements/validation supporting overall system compliance.
• Experience and/or familiarity with the following standards and handbooks
o MIL-STD-1766, MIL-STD-2169, MIL-STD-3023
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management System tools/concepts

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
