CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Power Platform Solutions
- Power BI: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for command and executive audiences. Transform complex data into actionable insights for multiple stakeholder groups.
- Power Apps: Build and enhance custom applications to streamline business processes, data collection, and user experiences.
- Power Automate: Design, implement, and monitor automated workflows for notifications, approvals, and process automation.
- Dataverse Integration: Customize and extend Dataverse databases, including adding columns, dashboards, and reports to support evolving requirements.
Collaboration & Agile Delivery
- Gather requirements and user stories from stakeholders, including cybersecurity teams and Navy leadership.
- Participate in weekly sprint sessions and daily standups to prioritize tasks and deliver solutions iteratively.
- Provide technical documentation, design documents, and user guides for end users.
Support & Administration
- Assist with user account administration, license assignment, and application usage monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power Platform solutions.
- Virtually attend meetings to collect feedback and continuously improve applications.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure solutions align with Navy cybersecurity standards and processes (e.g., SEP, RMF).
- Maintain documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Software, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, or a BS STEM discipline from an accredited university. Concentration in computer science highly desired.
- Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate in an enterprise or government environment.
Technical Skills:
- Power BI:
- Proven expertise in Power BI report and dashboard development, including the ability to design intuitive, high-performing visuals tailored to diverse user groups.
- Strong command of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for building calculated columns, measures, custom aggregations, and analytical expressions.
- Demonstrated experience with data modeling, including star schema design, relationships, normalization, and performance optimization for large datasets.
- Ability to connect to and integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL databases, SharePoint, Dataverse, APIs, and cloud storage.
- Power Apps:
- Hands-on experience building Canvas Apps to support custom business processes, leveraging formulas, galleries, forms, connectors, and responsive layouts.
- Experience developing Model-Driven Apps utilizing Dataverse tables, views, forms, business rules, and security roles.
- Understanding of Power Apps security, including environment permissions, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, and role-based access control within enterprise settings.
- Power Automate:
- Proficiency in designing, testing, and maintaining multi-step Power Automate flows, including automated flows, instant flows, and approval workflows.
- Experience integrating flows with data sources and systems such as Microsoft 365 apps, Dataverse, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, SQL, and third ‑ party connectors.
- Strong understanding of error handling, retry policies, triggers, expressions, and flow optimization.
- Data & Integration Skills:
- Solid understanding of relational database concepts, entity relationships, and normalization.
- Experience working with data integration tools and connectors, including REST APIs, SQL queries, OData, and Power Platform integration patterns.
- Ability to troubleshoot data refresh issues, schema changes, and cross ‑ platform connectivity.
- Documentation & Communication:
- Strong ability to create clear, concise technical documentation, including solution designs, architecture diagrams, release notes, and maintenance guides.
- Able to write user ‑ friendly training materials and step-by-step user guides for non-technical personnel.
- Skilled in communicating complex technical concepts to business stakeholders in a clear and approachable manner.
- Professional Attributes:
- Self-starter able to work independently and manage a backlog of tasks.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting federal or DoD programs.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (SEP, RMF).
- Prior work with Dataverse and integration of Power Platform solutions with other enterprise systems.
Certification: Highly desired
- Ability to obtain and maintain one of the following certifications within 90 days: CCNA-Security, CySA+, Security+ CE, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP.
Security Clearance: Requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
